- Crackers
- Chocolate Chip Cookies
- Pretzel Bows
- Navy Blue Food Gel Color
- Ash Food Gel Color
Instructions:
1. Begin by splitting your buttercream frosting into two bowls. Transfer one-third of the frosting to a small bowl and place the remaining frosting in a larger bowl.
2. In the larger bowl, add 4-6 drops of navy blue food gel color. Mix the frosting and gel color using a spatula until you achieve a rich navy blue hue. If the color doesn’t develop immediately, cover the bowl and let it sit for 20 minutes.
3. In the smaller bowl, add 3 drops of ash food gel color. Mix until the frosting is uniformly colored.
4. Prepare three piping bags. Fill one with the blue buttercream, another with the ash/gray buttercream, and the third with the piping tip. Cut a medium-sized hole in the tip of the bag with the piping tip so that it fits midway through.
5. Ensure your cutting board is clean and dry before starting to decorate.
6. Using the piping bag filled with blue frosting, mark a spot on the board where you want the badge to start.
7. Use the blue buttercream to create a straight line across the board to define the badge’s width.
8. Make a small dot at the bottom-center of the board, indicating where the badge will end.
9. From the end of the first line, draw a line going down the board. As you reach the middle, curve the line towards the dot at the bottom-center to form the badge’s shape. Repeat on the other side to complete the shape.
10. Fill in the badge shape by using the piping bag with blue buttercream. Hold the bag over the line, lightly squeeze to release the frosting, and quickly pull up. Repeat until the entire badge is filled.
11. Switch to the ash/gray buttercream. Squeeze out any remaining blue frosting onto a paper towel. Create the “R” in the middle of the badge using the ash frosting. Mark where the “R” begins, curves, and ends, then use the dot method to form the letter.
12. Use the ash frosting to trace the inside of the badge for a defined outline.
13. With the badge complete, arrange your snacks – crackers, chocolate chip cookies, and pretzel bows – around the board in a clever and appealing manner.
14. Once your Ravenclaw frosting Board is complete, it’s time to adorn it with a mixture of enchanting snacks.
